CORPORATE AGRI SALES MANAGER

This newly created Corporate Agriculture Sales Manager role is for a highly driven and self-motivated go-getter in a fast-paced Agri-tech start-up. This dynamic role is for someone who is willing to invest time, energy and emotional commitment to help Fefifo quickly scale up across domestic and export markets, that positively affect small farmers and national food security.

Partnering the Sales and Farm Ops team in Ipoh and Corporate Affairs team in KL; works closely with Accounts Finance team; and reports directly to the Co-founders and Partnerships Lead, in managing all communications and administrative activities related to sales.

Corporate Agriculture Sales

  • Plan, organise, manage and evaluate the activities of contract offtakers’ organisation and departments involved in commercial, industrial, institutional, HoReCa, e-business, wholesale and retail sales.

  • Leverage own network and established relationships within the agriculture industry to develop new relationships and agricultural corporate customers across Peninsular Malaysia, and export market.

  • Maintain good relationship with current offtakers, target leads and support the Fefifo team as needed, include but not limited to overseeing crops logistics, delivery schedules, crop harvest cycles.

  • Partner with management across team functions to ensure sales targets and strategic goals are aligned with business initiatives.

Other Responsibilities

  • Work with corporate affairs team on marketing plans, conversion of leads generated, managing key accounts and sales quota.

  • Create sales pitch and materials under direction of the management, involves self-conducted market research and pricing analysis.

  • Keeping track of communications with leads, key accounts and other teams related to sales operations, crop harvest planning, pricing, collection, customer support etc.

  • Co-ordinate with partners, legal counsels, other professional parties and overseas counterparts on general contracts, finance and collection matters.

  • Manage corporate data with discretion and confidentiality, also ensure proper maintenance of records with appropriate supporting documentation and filing.

  • Performing any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the founders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in agriculture/ food companies of related sales fields with proven experience in consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Extensive agricultural crop sales knowledge, sales experience particularly in a B2B setting.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Physical and mental capacity to contribute daily to a rigorous, fast-paced environment and willing to rollup sleeves for heavy lifting if required (preferred)

  • Proactive mindset, willingness to learn, adaptable and enjoy the ability to be versatile.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills in BM and good spoken and written English.

  • Able to start immediately (preferred) or within short notice.

Additional Information

  • Full-time / Contract job performance-based remuneration up to RM 120k - RM 160k per annum.

  • Salary: RM 5,000 - RM 7,000 base salary per month with variable On-target Earnings (bonus up to 1X base)

  • Appointment may vary and remuneration will commensurate with candidate’s years of relevant working experience and track record.

  • Flexible schedule required between travels on the road and requirement to attend weekly team meetings and participate in business strategies and daily operational decisions.

  • Possess own transport and must be willing to travel within Malaysia (transport allowance/claims provided).
